Today, the Bucks traded both Carlos Delfino and big man Miroslav Raduljica to the Clippers in exchange for Jared Dudley and a future first round draft pick.

As a Bucks fan, I like this trade. Milwaukee really isn't giving up any important pieces. And, in return, they receive a draft pick and Jared Dudley. Dudley, a six year veteran, is a solid shooter with a great 3-point stroke. Last season, he served as both a starter and a bench player in LA and averaged 6.9 points per game. That doesn't sound anything special and it isn't. What Dudley really provides is great perimeter shooting and NBA experience: two things that the Bucks need.

Dudley is just an added bonus though. The Bucks also receive a future first round pick. It probably won't be a top-20 pick, but it's still an extra draft pick. That draft pick could end up being a franchise player someday or even a Hall of Famer. You never know.

When I see a trade like this, I can't help but get excited about the future of the Milwaukee Bucks. They are young, they are talented, and I think they've been making the right moves to succeed in the future. It's only a matter of time before the Bucks return to prominence.
